5 WAYS TO ENHANCE YOUR HEALTH!
G’day! My names Lola Berry and I’m a naturopathic nutritionist from Australia! I’m passionate about revolutionizing the way the world thinks about health! I make health video’s which teach you all about fruits n’ veggies and about making a difference when it comes to looking after our planet!

1. Grow your own It’s easy-peasy to grow your own fresh produce!
All you have to do is find a spot in your garden, find out what to grow at specific times of the year.. You can grab a clove of garlic and wack him in the ground… he’ll start to grow in a jiffy! In the summer don’t throw your pineapple crowns away, let them dry out for a week or two then plant them in the ground! They like sunny spots! If you don’t have the space, why not set up a window garden! Plant a few herbs and you can even plant a thumb of ginger- it will grow quick smart just like garlic! Or you can join a community garden where the locals get their very own veggie patch to look after and you can sell some of the fresh produce at the local farmers market! Yummo!

2. Go Local This means you’re getting your fresh fruit n’ veggies fresh from the farmers!
You’re not only are you supporting the local economy, but these farmers are passionate about their produce, so they give you loads of tips, tricks, recipes ideas and inspiration! The food from local farmers markets is more nutrient dense because the time between harvest and consumption is massively reduced! But the best bit is that you’re cutting down on the carbon footprint cos locally produced food isn’t being shipped from all over the world! That way you’re pushing a sustainable movement!

3. Water, how much is enough? Loads of people are walking around dehydrated! Do you ever feel foggy in the brain, like you just can’t focus on anything? Or do you get those frontal headaches! Well the answer could simply be water! We should be drinking around one liter of water for every 22kg of body weight each day! So if you weigh 66-kg that’s 3 liters of water per day! So drink to your health!

4. Food is Medicine! Foods really do heal the body!

They are jam packed full of phyto-chemicals (plant nutrients), a good rule of thumb when buying fresh fruit and veggies is to go for bright colours! One of my mottos is “eat your colours” if you can count five colours in a meal then you know its going to provide you with a truck load of nutrients! I’m a huge fan of “doctrine of signatures” How’s this: food that looks like a body part actually helps that system of the body (this is called doctrine of signatures): For example a walnut looks just like a brain, turns out its high in monounsaturated fat, now our brain is made up of about 60% fat so walnuts are the perfect brain food! If you cut a tomato in half its red like the colour of our blood and it resembles the left and right chambers of the heart, it’s a rich source of lycopene, a potent antioxidant, which has been linked to preventing cardiovascular disease! Cut a carrot horizontally, it looks just like the human iris! It’s high in a substance called beta-carotene which once in the body converts to vitamin A! This actually helps us to see in the dark! Pretty amazing stuff hey!

5. Positive Energy!
Our mental thoughts play a massive role in our health and the way things pan out in our lives! If you’re thinking that things aren’t great, worrying or poor me.. and all that kind of jazz… well you’re just feeding a negative state! Put your energy into positive things.. Manifest the things you want to happen! Remember you can make a difference and you can make anything happen! So the key is to dream big and put your energy into making those dreams come true! Woohoooo!!!
