Swimming in a Sea of Acid
My latest film is a beautiful, independent documentary called “ACID TEST” that explores the urgent problem of rising ocean acidity caused by our burning of fossil fuels. The 22-minute film premiered in August on Discovery Planet Green and is now available online at www.acidtestmovie.com.
The website enables you to see the whole film, take action to reduce carbon dioxide pollution, see extended interviews with top ocean scientists, learn about the science of acidification, and request a free DVD and action kit for home screenings with friends and family. (I hope many people will take advantage of this. ACID TEST is a fascinating, Read more

Why didn’t we save ourselves when we had the chance? This is the question the soon-to-be released film, Age of Stupid, poses to us. The film takes place in a future where our world has been ravaged by climate change due to a business-as-usual approach to this growing global threat.
The good news is that this doesn’t need to happen. For now, our fate of being remembered as the Age of Stupid is still within our grasp to reverse. With your help, we can get the word out about climate change and our ability to help avert disaster. Read more

August 29, 2009 by Ambassador of Green · Leave a Comment

Eric Giler wants to untangle our wired lives with cable-free electric power. Here, he covers what this sci-fi tech offers, and demos MIT’s breakthrough version, WiTricity — a near-to-market invention that may soon recharge your cell phone, car, pacemaker.
The technology was developed by an MIT team led by theoretical physicist Marin Soljá (who won a MacArthur “genius”grant last year). Now, WiTricity is one of several startups developing tech to safely transmit power through the air — and potentially untether our electronic age.
The technology at the core Read more

TXT 4 U R BUS

Ride The Bus, its a green thing to do as opposed to any SUV trip for sure.
But who has a bus schedule? When and where on what day?
There’s a new service, just launched, which lets you text a code for a particular bus stop to a number and get an SMS back telling you the next five buses to go from that stop. It’s quite a neat idea and pretty fast (I tried it), and a nice complement to the other ways of getting bus information.
These days Public Transportation is getting better all the time…

Get Pickled by the best.

Ed’s Lobster bar and the Kirby… Pickle. Green food never tasted this good - the most unique experience i have ever had with a side dish. Seriously.
Short and squat, with a warty complexion, the Kirby may be the ugly duckling of the cucumber world, but it’s also the best for pickling—and when it comes down to it, aside from being sliced and tossed into a Pimm’s Cup, isn’t pickledom the highest office a cucumber can aspire to? Find them near their slender, smooth-skinned cousins at just about every other Greenmarket stand right now, Read more
Michael Jackson Green - Earth Song
June 30, 2009 by Ambassador of Green · 1 Comment

In a time when talk of environmental issues is the norm, Jackson was well ahead of the game with this release in 1996. Topics covered include drought, over-fishing, deforestation, pollution and war. The beautiful video — in which the King of Pop is shot in various scenes from around the world — probably carried a massive carbon footprint; but back then climate change and CO2 were in their infancy.
This was done long ago, i was surprised to find that people still didn’t know it existed or have not seen it. Read more
