The E-Fuel Revolution Home Ethanol

July 28, 2009 by Ambassador of Green

E-Fuel - beginning production August 2009, you can buy your own fully automated ethanol micro processing system capable of producing 40 gallons a day. It is called the Micro Fueler by E-Fuel and this could well become the next brilliant solution to compete with your local gas pump.

Overview
The E-Fuel MicroFuelerâ„¢ is the world’s first portable ethanol micro-refinery system; it replaces the traditional ethanol reflux column system with a solid state distillation technology, making it possible for homeowners and small businesses to safely and cost-effectively create their own fuel, on-site. Note: We were only kidding about the beer - you can make your own ethanol with lots of feedstocks.

BOON to Restaurants:
Waste alcohol and some organic byproducts can go right into this system. See video:

The E-Fuel Corporation’s technological breakthrough significantly reduces the size and weight of traditional fermentation and distillation systems needed to produce ethanol. Dedicated to the “produce where you consume” energy model, E-Fuel allows consumers to produce ethanol at the point of consumption, eliminating many problems associated with large-scale ethanol production, namely inefficient transportation and distribution, and the use of coal-fired electrical plants.

How It Works

The MicroFueler has two main physical components: (1) a distillation apparatus combined with the pumping station and a 50 gallon E-Fuel100â„¢ pethanol holding tank (collectively referred to as the MicroFueler); and (2) a 250 gallon Organic Fuel Tank to hold organic waste for processing into E-Fuel100 ethanol by the MicroFueler. Reduced to an appliance-sized unit, the MicroFueler has the same user-friendly LCD interface found at most gas stations and is enhanced with touch screen technology. This remarkable product uses micro sensors and state-of-the-art semiconductor technology to keep the unit size small and the operation combustion free.

Eliminating combustion in the production of ethanol is a major breakthrough in the MicroFueler design over convention ethanol production techniques. True to its portable design, having a combustion free process makes the unit safe for placement and operation in virtually any location*. To further simplify the E-Fuel100 ethanol production for consumers, the MicroFueler supports a variety of organic waste as fuel (among them are discarded liquids rich in sugar, waste sugar, liquids with residual alcohol, cellulosic materials** and even algae**). Processing organic waste material through the MicroFueler is the ultimate environmentally friendly solution, as it uses materials otherwise bound for landfills and converts them into fuel for your home and business.

MFS100-001 MicroFuelerâ„¢ System

The E-Fuel MicroFueler system is a complete portable ethanol production and pump station. It is made up of two major assembles: (1) the MicroFueler closet (MFC100-001) comprised of the distillation column, E-Fuel100 ethanol holding tank, and 50-ft hose reel and pumping apparatus; and (2) the Organic Fuel Tank (MFT100-001) which holds up to 250 gallons of liquid organic fuel to be processed by the MicroFueler into ethanol and, if needed, controlled fermentation.

Bottom Line: its only $ 9,995
plus a monthly admin connection for only $10 that hooks up to the maintenance and diagnostics to inform you of its output and the E-Fuel people of pending maintenance needs the system detects.

Do the math - its simple, and possible :

If it makes 280 gal/week at current gas pump prices:
$2.50 gal of gas X 280 Gallons/week x 52 weeks = 36,400 Bucks a year value in fuel.
However, nothing runs 24/7 so you get something under that, but if you are the user then its cost is under a buck a gallon for better performance, since everyone i know says ethanol gets better than gasoline performance and mileage. If you are a restaurant group owner then wanting one is a no-brainer, you can recycle rather than dispose since a lot of what this unit needs to do its job is currently expensive to haul away. Factor in recycling savings gets you an awesome ROI.

Literally this can pay for itself inside its first few months of ownership.

Did i mention that we want one?

ED:NOTE
Yes Andy this is literally a Still in a box to make your own hootch and burn it in your truck. The beauty of it is its all contained and automated, what it makes doesn’t have to taste good to be great fuel. Added bonus for the DIY guy = basically you have a way off the grid option to add your own ethanol power generator also, and they will sell you that too.

… yep the old Still is back in a nice new totally high-tech box.

Caveat: * Laws and ordinances may apply which may restrict placement options.

– some places may have limits on volume of fuel storage for the zone you live in, zoning laws and regulations may require a permit, typically that is 500 gallons ( large home heating oil tank ) which means the E-Fuel unit will fly under the radar… but you best check on that.
